new new drag car?
i just got this crx a little while ago. my team and i have stripped everything and started to clean it. we have a **** load of work to do, but it will pay off in the end.
here are our plans"
-one piece fiber glass front end http://www.mmrusa.com/8891Fiber.htm
-we just got all of our engine stuff (i will post pics later)
here are our choices of engines
ls block with ls 1.8l head (custom turbo)
ls block with b16 vtec head (nos or zex)
ls block with ported and polished ls head (turbo)
give me some feedback!

Looks like a nice project. Just to give you some ideas, my friend did 13.9 @ 102 mph with a bone stock LS/VTEC.
I would go with a fully built CRVTEC....N/A. It's so easy going N/A with such a light body.

May I suggest the widebody front end?
What circuit are you going to race it in? (NHRA? IDRC?)
I would look into the contingency sponsors before making a decision of what parts to start modifying it with. Holley and Zex are both contingency sponsors, so no worries there.
Make sure you read the class rules carefully before starting to modify.

If you're not going CR-VTEC (in which is what I would recommend, check out b20vtec.com for that all-motor full interior 12.4 sec crx) then go LS/ VTEC with the nitrous....you would expect blazing times with that.....

i am getting the one piece front end but am not sure about the motor setup. we are in the process of re-building the B18A1 head and block. i know for sure we are using a ls block w/either b16 vtec head or b18 ls head. if we go turbo we are gonna use the ls head because of the none vtec. the interior of the crx we get cleaned and sanded to the bone. we are then getting sheet metal and custom lining the interior. i will have to post pics as soon as i can of some progress.
We have a CRX race car also, but we dicided not the get a 1 piece front end yet...THe first thing we're gonna replace are the windows and the rear hatch...the rear hatch alone weighs about the same or very close to the front end parts...
i just got some PR4 high compression pistons and rods for a b16 head or Ls head. they are a little dirty but i will get them cleaned up.
