Getting Tuned and Passing Inspection/Emissions
So in a couple weeks here my LS/Vtec build will be complete. I need a way to tune it and still be able to pass PA state inspections/emissions. Originally I was gonna use a chipped obdI ecu with crome. When i talked to some fo the guys I work with that do inspections they informed me that converting an obdIIb vehicle to OBDI wouldn't pass
the basics of my setup
99 Si chassis with b16a2 tranny
rebuilt b18a1 block
pr3 pistons on shotpeened ls rods
rebuilt b16a2 head with gsr cams
Any suggestions on how to tune it well? I'm not gonna drive ti till I have an effective and safe tune so I need to get this figured out within the next week.

Here in CA I suggest that you concentrate on the rpm's the test is performed at.
Usually it means richen it up a bit and take away timing at that rpm.
Not sure that they would test for monitors, but remember to drive it a bit to set the them.

My problem isnt emissions sorry for the bad wording. I cna pass emissions I was wondering if theres a way I can tune it and still keep it obdII to pass. Cause if I convert it to obdI it wont pass. At least thats what i was informed.
