anyone run the victor x mainfold yet?
how much more english can i get?
It is an intake mainfold. it is on the rear side of your head and it reecives air from your air intake system. ... does that break it down to you?

295.00 shipped for the reg one
385.00 shipped for the polished one .
thats like $40 cheaper than summit , and summit usually has the lowest prices.
im not sure what i wanna do .
it has the extra holes in it for my direct port. . . well really for extra injectors , but i will use for the direct port. i dont know if i wanna drill in my stock manifold

If those prices are accurate, then thats damn good for the polished unit because retail is over 500 beans
Sounds like a steal to me, too bad I already have mine

I'm curious about this intake manifold and throttle body myself...
Turbo Magazine did a write up on it (if you didn't read it yet):
http://www.turbomagazine.com/archive...2_tech01.shtml
They have a 10 pixel by 10pixel "zoomed in" dynoplot of a NA engine and they picked up some gains. But here were some losses along the curve also. My question is it more likely something inherent in teh physical system or something attributable to the stock ECU they were running (not sure how or what htey were running in the first place to get 190+hp outta that sucker...) Would running a Hondata be like a magic bullet and even out/raise the curves?

Friend of mine installed one onto this guy's hatchback (GSR motor). He said that nothibng lines up anymore. The Victor X manifold is shaped kinda like the STR sheet metal one, meaning that all vacuum nipples are in the back or on the bottom of the fat part. Probably not a big deal to run all new vacuum lines. All the vacuum nipples are the screw on ones, not like the factory Honda ones that are on there already. Also, he says that the new manifold places the throttle body nowhere near where the TB used to sit with the stock manifold. They had to use a short ram, and he said it makes the intake piping sit very close to the shock tower (the manifold moves the TB down towards the floor a little, and over to the passenger side more than stock).
I think it gained 25-40 Hp because of the Turbo.
I think the reson why it places up high is because it is modled after a type-r manifold and the second runners are not there anymore. So the throtle body sits higher than the stock GSR TB.

the horsepower gain on a turbo'd GSR is 41hp to the wheels! My friend just installed his victor x manifold on his all motor gsr.......he is getting it dyno'd today and i will let you know what the gain is on it, he's not dynoing because of the manifold either, everything is set at zero because the motor just got done......
