Default question on possibly a future build

ok so i recently picked up a 2.0 gsr with darton sleeves, cp 14:1 pistons, eagle rods, crower crank, and all arp hardware.
I am going to be putting my b16 head containing these parts on it:

3 angle valve job
Skunk 2 valve train
Skunk 2 cam gears
Buddy Club spec. 4 cams
BLOX intake manifold
port matched intake and throttle body 68mm.
Hondata thermo gasket
JDM type r header
New o.e.m oil and water pumps
Walboro 255 gph fuel pump
DSM 440 injectors
Milled head
tuned on neptune
skunk2 p28

And for those who care
B16 trans w/ LSD
ACT lightened flywheel (11 lb)
ACT street/strip disk w/ Extreme preassure plate

Is there anyway i could run a this setup on pump gas with octane booster with a real thin headgasket, if the answer is no I am probably going to try and trade the 14:1's for 12.5's. just out of curiosity what do you think a machine shop charges to switch pistons? thankyou ahead of time.....

if by pump gas you mean 100+octane, sure. but if you're like most of us and only get 91-93, drop that compression now.

and why would you use a thin headgasket to lower compression?

You need race gas dude. And you need a header worthy to match the rest of that setup. After that, you should have a little monster.

As far as a machine shop swapping pistons, it depends on how much labor you do and how much they do.

Are you going to drop off the car and let them do it all? Or are you going to pull the motor yourself, disassemble it, and bring them the bare minimum to swap, then reinstall yourself?

the bottom end is just sittin waitin for the head to go on it so i would bring them the block with no head on it....but yea i got it for a rediculous deal so i couldn't pass it up. Thanks for the info tho once i pretty much knew the compression would have to come down but thought id double check...
