There are only a handful of 18's with the proper fitment for the S2000. All of them are custom order which you will not receive through website or mail order. Hop over to S2ki.com and hunt out the models. For 18"/8.5's in the rear, you will need at least a +68 offset, 9.0 or higher around +70 or more. Trust me, you won't find anything easy to buy. Fiske FM/20 is available special order, but one set exists (~$750 per corner). Volk CE/28n's are custom made in batches of 10 once a year, special order from R&D motorsports (~500+ per corner). HRE, et al. do not fit properly. Your best bet is to approach a manufacturer, and have a custom set of wheels made for your car with the correct offsets.
Why in the world would you want 18's on an S2000 in the first place? The additional weight, and higher moment of inertia slows the car down considerably.
EVERYTHING else will rub. Those that say they haven't, aren't driving the car hard enough, are running mad negative camber, or they've rolled the fenders. This subject has been beaten to death at s2ki.com and the uninformed still insist that +55 offsets fit in the rears. I suppose it does if you like the wheels to stick a quarter of an inch outside your wheel wells.
In addition, to preserve the stock handling characteristics, you need to purchase a wheel/tire combo that preserves the stock ~25% stagger. The rears have 25% more tread than the fronts. Removing that bias will cause the S2000 to oversteer more easily.
225/45/18 probably won't fit on a 8" wide rim. 235 would be about right. 245/40/18 is damn narrow for a 9", 255-265 would be about right. I would recommend a big front sway bar to reign in the oversteer on that setup. Also, check your diameters, stock is 24.86 and there is no known mod to fix the odometer/speedometer readings.
I am running 205/55/16 and 245/45/16 on the stock wheels as a track setup. 225/50/16 and 245/45/16 on stock wheels for autocross.

Excellent choice on the 17's. The CE28n's are lighter than stock and significantly wider. The problem is waiting for the next batch/group buy.

What do you guys think about the Work Meisters, the one that Comptech S2000 have on.. I believe they are available in 17s and 18s..They are also pretty light..
Hey DXLSR, nice choice for rims on that car... I was actually thinking of the same thing too if i get the SilverStone Metallic as a 2003 model... If i can get my hands on a Grand Prix White/Red 2002 model, i'll have to see which rims i want... Good luck
