96-00 civic ex cluster.... What is the green plug?

I swapped my dx cluster for an ex on my 96 civic. On the EX cluster there is a place for a green plug, anyone know what this plug is for? What all is controlled by it?

did you have any problems with the fuel and temp gauges?
becasue i have the same car and i got the same ex cluster and when i started the car my fuel and temp gagues rose all the way up :[[

any problem with that?
