broken radio and door locks
Hi everyone, i was driving my 2001 Honda Civic LX coupe last week over a short bridge and you know that bumpy threshold where the bridge meets the road? Yeah, i went over it goin about 40 mph as it was the posted speed limit and after I went over that bump, my radio deck just shut off.
I tapped it a couple times to see if it just needed a tap but it didnt work. So i then removed the face off and replace It again and didnt work either. At this point I'm thinking it got disconnected on the back.
So I park and when i hit the auto door lock switch to unlock my door the damn thing doesnt want to unlock. Iguess that bump really messed up something when I drove over it, I drive over it all the time so it may contribute to the reasons why this happened.
It was only last night that I checked for blown fuses and didnt find any. Any ideas on how to fix this problem or what mightve caused the problem? I keep forgetting to lock the passenger side and I roll around with earphones in both ears listening to my iPod, I might get a ticket for that. Thanks!
Sorry this post is kinda long but thanks for reading!

Alright... I have one question and if your answer is "no" I have a VERY good idea what your problem is....
Did you check the under the hood fuse box?
if not....
1- Check the under the hood fuse box, I can't remember exactly what the fuse is called but there is only a few so check them all. More than likely this is the problem.
2- I'm assuming that it's an aftermarket stereo, because I can't understand why this would happen otherwise. So pull the console out and check all the wires, make sure all the connections are taped up or whatever verywell because it sounds like you blew a fuse by shorting out a wire.
3- Don't listen to your ipod while driving... atleast not in both ears... your gonna kill somebody, or someone is gonna kill you. It's just unsafe.

I saw the powercord from my subwoofer, which was cable-tied to the under-hood fuse box cords, was pulled because itgot stuck to the shift/clutch mechanism on the engine. So it seem like it unplugged something from under the glove box or something. I'll need to go in there and check...

Probably just a blown fuse under your hood.

If it's the fuse under the hood it does... trust me... been there.
