Default saving of bottom end

Hey guys... I think I have a knock developing in my bottom end. At idle there is no noise what so ever and at startup there is no noise. I can punch the gas and not hearing anything until in the middle of rpm downfall punching it again where I hear a faint clatter. This will be my 2nd bottom end to go out if it does. This one will have lasted me about 4k miles which I am not satisfied with at all.
I have a f22a1 and Im boosting close to 10 lbs tuned on Crome.

When I put this engine in I put all new bearings in the bottom end... rod, main, and thrust washers too. Checked every tolerance 2 times and all was within spec using stock size bearings matching crank codes.

What would be causing my bearings to go when everything was in spec? Is this a knock again, I feel no power loss what so ever either.

sounds like you need a retune.

I was contemplating this too. My plugs look a lil tan and not towards the darker color which was making me think I might be a lil lean. I do not have a wide band so right now I don't know for sure. Shouldn't I be experiencing pinging or something of the sort though?

i'm not referring to fueling. i am referring to running too much ignition timing in certain areas of your tune.

So is this a knock most likely or can it just be tuning?

its called detonation. If your engine was getting "rod knock" it would knock all the time. Not just at certain points.

its the tune, 99% sure. Was the engine completely tuned? or was it just dyno tuned?

actually I'm not even going to lie. I bought the map from a guy in Jacksonville FL from CB7tuner. He and I talked on the phone multiple times for many hours and had basically the same exact setup. it seems like it happens at lower rpm's while under load, no load it takes more rpms to hear this detonation you are calling it... Still same symptoms?

I have Hondata S200B and a P06 that will be used for tuning as soon as I get up to Hunstville AL where my tuner will get me on the DYNO

you need dyno tuning and street tuning. The only reason you wouldnt need street tuning (part throttle, low cam tuning) is if the dyno can hold a load.

so basically, you have a basemap which you are joyriding around with. Not smart.

detonation + boost = bye bye engine.

Jacksonville FL and Auburn AL are two different climates and altitudes noway you should trust that map for a motor boosting that much.

it's safe to drive to the dyno, It's definitely not safe to hit boost in any form with it atm.

I actually think it is my thrust washers taking an expletive again. I ordered new ones today. After reading its doing it more today and its not detonating I'm retarded by 10degrees and its making this noise WELL before entering boost and I notice it more when I make a turn and it puts more pressure on the transmission which is simulating "Crank walk" which is normally unheard of on Honda engines.

After searching I heard that aftermarket clutches can cause thrust washer damage or improperly adjusted clutches...How do I know if my clutch is not adjusted correctly?
