Default Passenger axle keeps popong out of trany?

I have an EK with a Type r (b18c) motor and trany. I'm using a Kaaz 1.5Way LSD dif with ats gears. I have a set of stage 2 axles from CVTech. I used the axles before when I had the stock trany with no prob!!!

The axle pops out when accalerating hard generally at high RPM in 3rd gear!!!!

I got the axle remanufactered with a new end and C clamp. I installed it into the trany, I can pull hard on it by hand and pull it out...could it be the dif????

how much damage did this do when it popped out in 3rd at high rpm, my friend and i were cruisin through our neighbourhood last night at about 20 30km/h and his axle popped out, made an incredibly horrifying noise and he was almost crying, cant imagine what this did to your car.

Actually, only a little bit of metal shavings where worn off the end the one time it completely came out!!! The other times it would just pop out like 1/4 inch so trany fluid would leak out!

It's a C-clip issue... Just ask Hooch'N about it from CMP.

Ya those phat chicks keep wanting rides lol

I do have a c clip on the axle, a new one to...Is it possible the dif wasn't shimed or pre-loaded properly and that's why the c clip isn't sitting in properly????

I'm thinking it's the "remachining" process that messed it up!!! Try an Autozone rebuilt and seee if it holds in there, if so... you'll know the "machining" was the problem.

I just spoke to cvtech, and they where under the impression I had a b16a trany but when I confirmed to them that I had a JDM type R trany, they told me that the end needs to be 1/8 longer like the h22a's!!!

So that would explain why the c clip isn't sitting in properly!!!

Ok so the 1/8 longer JDM type R inner still comes out. Call Kaaz and they told me to test my diff (one wheel of the ground and try to release the clutch slowly to see if the contact tire turns) and to make sure my axle seal is in enough!!!!!

You can purchase new axles from NAPA for a little more than a rebuilt at Vatozone, and the quality is much better. I've tried 3 different axles from Vatozone - first 2 were too loose, third was so tight that if I let go of the steering wheel it would snap to the left.

If you'd keep a closer eye on your girl then he'd be alright.

Ok ok... so I don't use them either... trying to save the d00d some $$$

For me... I'd send out a good axle to Gator Axles.

I have set of their RR axles waiting to go into the PY, the OEM ones that come out will be sent to them for a rebuild.

Mike... is that better?
