Default ef b16a swap with A/C

I'm debating on putting the motor that's in my hatch into an ef crx si that's relatively unmolested w/ and A/C system. Ive done my share of research into hasport's compressor bracket for this swap but I keep coming up with mixed answers on additional modification to the front frame member. Anyone have any experience with this bracket? Also, is there anything else I may need to make this swap work with air conditioning?

THANKS!

You shouldn't need to modify the front frame or x-bar any. You will need to get a slim fan to replace the stock A/C fan though.

Everything else won't even have to be touched, just un-bolt the compressor and tie it out of the way while you put the engine in.

Most people use aftermarket. Once you get the swap in, you'll see why it needs to be slim, usually there isn't a lot of room between the block and radiator, especially with an aftermarket header. You could also do a pusher-type fan mounted in front of the condenser.

Here's a link for the push-style fan: http://www.performanceforum.co....html

I managed to use the stock fan with the stock exhaust
after removing a small section of the fan shroud as pictured here:

It was kind of a pain to get in place but it is possible.

I have the HASport AC bracket and everything bolted right up. I have a b20 and the stock crx AC components.

Check the marketplace and eBay. They pop up from time to time.

My dad, the man, custom fabbed one up and it works great. Also, we didnt have to edit anything the bay (fan, t-bar) to get the AC to bolt up.

Alright, well..seeing as I fixed my currently b16a swapped hatch that has no a/c, are there any guides that I can use to put a/c back in it? I know the general area of all the highside/lowside lines and other large mechanical parts..I'm kinda lost with the wiring stuff. Help?

The wiring runs from under the evaporator, through the firewall along the pass. side with the main harness. The relays attach to the bulkhead near the pass. headlight, then you connect the pressure switch and fan switch.

If you need a diagram, use the CRX Workshop manual or visit http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com.
