New ecu-no fry
How exactly do i go about installing my new ecu? As far as i know 1.) unplug negative batt cable 2.) unplug old ecu 3.) plug in new 4.) negative back on 5.) cross fingers and hope it starts. lol. <All that sound about right?
You can disconnect the battery, plug the ecu in, put you're battery cable on, and you are done. I don't even disconnect the battery most of the time, just swap ecu's, but thats me.

X2, never heard of it frying an ecu from that.
But if you feel compelled to do so, then disconnect your battery, or even easier, just remove the Fuse.
