Default clicky trans?

Okay after getting my car back from the body shop 3 weeks ago, I've noticed my trans when switching mainly from park to either reverse or drive (auto lx) there is a really loud and noticable click. I'm not hard on my trans by slamming into gears and the trans wasn't hit so what could be causing this noise any ideas??
I'm gonna take it to the dealership but the service dept is probaly getting sick of me cuz they've had to inspect, reinspect, change my radio out for a new one under warrenty cuz the body shop let the battery unhooked for a really long time among countless phone calls trying to set things up....

Do you let go of the brakes right after you shift to Drive?

What happens if you keep your foot ON the brakes, shift to Drive, wait for a few seconds, and then let go of the brakes...do you still hear that "click"?

I too hear the same sound and it does not seem to matter if i am holding the brake or not. It was like the first time I heard a rachetting transmission in a Chrysler. I thought something was wrong but it pretty much does it every time.

Well finally got my car in the shop on this... shop came back saying its the driveshaft making the clicking noise and then my car was shaking really bad (~60+ mph) and that is because the motor and sub-cradle are mis-aligned thanks to the body shop not fixing completely after the accident, this is the 2nd time it's had to gone back in cuz of work not completely finished
to the repair shop
