Quick Question...
Ive got a '90 Civic Ex with a stock d16a6 throwing a code 9. I looked in my Haynes book and its said it was the number one cylinder position. What exactly does this mean. A buddy of mine asked a master honda tech and he said that it was my distributor and that it would make my car cut out at certain rpm's, which it does. Is this correct? Ive got another distributor that I can put on but just wanted to make sure before I go screwing with the timing.
Thanks

If you have a spare dizzy then try and switch it out. But if that doesn't work here is a link that has walk-through for clearing codes.
Just scroll down, its about half way into it.

What do you need help with? Did you even follow the troubleshooting charts on the link i provided?
You are actually gonna have to go out and do some work now. If after you trouble shot it with those directions and it still throws the code then come back.
