cheap power
i have and 01 accord lx i already have upgraded spark plug wires cat back exaust and cold air intake, i want headers but it will void my warenty. what is the next cheapist aftermarket part i could buy that would add the most power?
I think thas about it there unless you fix up the internals... but really thas all it right there... you could prolly the a torque damper and that doesnt add ne power but holds you motor steady n puts all the torque to the wheels.. but other than that you could put a turbo on it or swap your motor for an h22 dunno if you have a 4 or 6 cylinder motor. but thas all I can think of right now though... you can get an nrg torque damper off ebay for about 89 bucks and shipping's free.
to be honest I've never heard of one of those... n I've not heard of ne one using them so I couldnt tell you if they do ne thing good.. sum thin else you could do. but it's not so cheap either... if your car is standard then you could get a clutch with a pressure plate and lightened flywheel... I bought an xtd stage 3 clutch and it's awesom.. mine didnt come with the lightened flywheel so Im useing the stock one but it's awesome... you can get 3rd gear scratches pretty easily.
I was about to say the same thing. You still have warranty on an '01 Accord? <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by scabbs »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote"> but other than that you could put a turbo on it or swap your motor for an h22 dunno if you have a 4 or 6 cylinder motor. but thas all I can think of right now though... .</TD></TR></TABLE> And if we're talking about a header voiding his warranty, then im gussing an engine swap or a turbo is out of the question.

Yeah wouldn't whatever warrenty your worried about be expired by now anyway?
Yes, header would be my next move judging from what you have already.
Maybe bored T.B. after that.

But keep it clean. How much more you got on the warranty?
suspension suspension....tein springs on some tokico blues will do you some good....its inexpensive and a very easy swap for the mechanically inclined....also will make your ride more enjoyable, and also safe....not a drastic drop either.
if its a manual read about doing a a turbo setup or something like that.....buy the time your warrenties over you could have saved money and started a turbo build that will make you so so so happy....but a 50 shot would work fine for a auto or a manuale if you want "cheap" "power".....throttel body spaacers

The only part of your warranty that a header can void is for related parts such as the cat and the rest of the exhaust. You are legally covered by:
Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act
US Code - Title 15, Chapter 50, Sections 2301-2312
According to Wikipedia:
"The Act provides that any warrantor warranting a consumer product to a consumer by means of a written warranty must disclose, fully and conspicuously, in simple and readily understood language, the terms and conditions of the warranty to the extent required by rules of the Federal Trade Commission. The FTC has enacted regulations governing the disclosure of written consumer product warranty terms and conditions on consumer products actually costing the consumer more than $15. The Rules can be found at 16 C.F.R. Part 700.
Under the terms of the Act, ambiguous statements in a warranty are construed against the drafter of the warranty.
Likewise, service contracts must fully, clearly, and conspicuously disclose their terms and conditions in simple and readily understood language.
Full Warranty Requirements Under a full warranty, in the case of a defect, malfunction, or failure to conform with the written warranty, the warrantor:
must, as a minimum, remedy the consumer product within a reasonable time and without charge;
may not impose any limitation on the duration of any implied warranty on the product;
may not exclude or limit consequential damages for a breach of any written or implied warranty on the product, unless the exclusion or limitation conspicuously appears on the face of the warranty; and
if the product, or a component part, contains a defect or malfunction, must permit the consumer to elect either a refund or replacement without charge, after a reasonable number of repair attempts.
In addition, the warrantor may not impose any duty, other than notification, upon any consumer, as a condition of securing the repair of any consumer product that malfunctions, is defective, or does not conform to the written warranty. However, the warrantor may require consumers to return a defective item to its place of purchase for repair."
Now, actually getting a dealer to follow this law is another thing. If the dealership does void your warranty you can contact the EPA at (202) 260-2080 or http://www.epa.gov. In any case arming yourself with knowledge will only benefit you. Get your header and enjoy your car!
Off topic, but I saw your from Franklin, NC. I just came back from Franklin last week, great town.

A lot of people hate on Megan Racing headers, but I have only had good results with them. We use them on our 94 Accord EX and 94 Civic Hatch.
