Default upper control arm - DC2

ok noise was front upper ball joint. the ball joint was almost out really dangerous and i need to replace ASAP before i drive it again. so i'm trying to decide

Tein SS suspension - it was for an EG and i put it into my 99 LS. suspension is comfortable. dont know spring rates but rarely soft. its dropped about less then finger gap, no tires tuck, last time i got an alignment i think it had about 2.7 - 2.9 camber. so yea.

reason im telling u how low i am, is cuz i'm thinking of getting the upper A arms with the ball joints from blox/omnipower but i heard they hit your strut towers leaving a mark. i would really not want it to hit but do u guys think i'm low enough that it will? i can get blox or OEM ones for about the same price. reason i'm shying away from blox is cuz it might hit. OEM ones might be the same problem in a few months and ball joint might get fucked up because the arm is at the incorrect angle cuz i'm lowered? suggestion/ opinions?

Finger gaps is not the best way to measure available suspension travel. OEM has less of a chance of hitting the shock tower, simply due to differences in design.

well i know but i'm not measuring the shock travel but just letting u guys know how low i am to see if anyone have comparison to my height with any problems.

but with the stock one do u think it will cause the same problem? my frined has an integra and has been running no camber kit and hes been fine for two years. hes almost the same height as me.

I have the Tein SS coilovers on my integra with the blox upper control arms and as far as I can tell there are no rubbing issues... I will check again tonight when I go out to my car but I had it up in the air a couple days ago with the tires off and saw no marks out of the ordinary.

thanks ^^ from what i know or from friends i'm not low enough to hit as long as i correct camber dont hit the fender liner piece. i read a lot about it hitting as i was just concerned. but i guess u have to be tucking or very close to tucking before u have some problems. but hopefully not. i'm gonna have to find a local shop that has them in stock tm. too dangerous to drive that **** around with the upper ball joint almost out.....

when i had tein SS on my del sol (eg2) w/ skunk2 camber arms i hit the shock tower area and put dents. My car was not slammed at all. I think the problem was that i put more positive camber so it raised the s2 control arms. When i say positive i mean 0 degrees.

I'm pretty sure if you run some negative camber it won't hit. But i took my car to a place that offers lifetime alignment and all they did were "normal" alignments...nothing for track use so i had to run what they did and couldn't tell them what settings i wanted. The camber/toe settings were so the ties wore evenly because thats all the shop cares about w/ lifetime alignment.

i just put SPC adj. ball joint / upper a-arms on my 00' SH prelude, and am having some knocking issues, '''''' may be because the SPC ball joint has a "bolt " on top which u put a nut down on...... stock ball joints are FLAT on top....... but how do i fix this???

well im gonna run some negative camber to make it handle a little. i was just worried because i didnt' want to get it if it did. i get alignments for free becaues i do them at my shop that i work at. i already bought the blox camber kit and just waiting for the car to get back from the body shop. maybe this week so i'll let u guys know. i hope it doesn't.

from what i heard the ppl that are slammed usually hit..but then again ppl have different opinions on how low they go. only way to tell is if i get it and see if it hits. if it does, i'll think of something to try to fix it.

never had a camber kit on my car in 6 years and have had no major tire wear issues, even when I was at -2.8 camber.

Just get replacement OEM arms, align the toe, rotate tires every 5K miles and call it a day.

OEM Arms = $$$ as a blox camber kit....actually the OEM arms are a little more. i was thinking if its the same price might as well get the adjustable to fix it a little.

i was also wondering this since i will be installing my tein ss w/ skunk2 s2 upper control arms on my integra. i will be going all the way down in the front with the ss but some people say that it wouldn't hit if i went that low on the integra. i'm not too sure either

I'm using OEM replacement upper arms off eBay, $90 shipped for the pair, comes w/ brand new ball joints. I bought them from seller ArmCan (Canadian seller of replacement suspension parts for all cars). They're working fine for me. The guy who does my alignments said the ball joints looked to be of good quality and felt nice and tight.

got my blox for $120. so yea. i rather not go for ebay parts unless needed. again i'm not trying to say yours is bad or nothing but yea.

i wont know until i get my car back. its at the body shop getting front end fixed. as soon as i get it back i'm gonna swap in the arms and do an alignment. if i hit i'll let u guys know. hopefully it doesn't

I was wary of eBay parts as well, but I searched and asked on here and it seems quite a few people are using upper control arms from that seller and haven't had any problems.
