Default What is the normal water temp?

Got a question..
Have a jdn h22 swap hatch and I was curious what is normal opperating temp? I hooked up a temp gauge and its reads around 240-250. Is that were its suppose to be?

That's pretty high...a good operating temp is like 180-220, but of course it depends on the outside temp, driving style, etc...

Thats what I thought.
Well Im in Ohio and now its round 80 degress, motor is built with low compression and so on (not like that matters) but I do have the stock hatch radiator so that doesnt help to to much. I dont drive it hard b/c im still breaking it in and when I do drive, its the speed limit and driving like a granny right now. All the money went to the built motor so thats why I havent bought a bigger aluminum radiator....plus dont drive it that much but Id firgure Id ask....
