Ive got a set of PTE 1000cc injectors wired through a resistor box. My car is only running on 3 cylinders. Its got spark and fuel to the other cylinders obivously as well as spark on #4, but the #4 runner doesnt heat up at all and i can pull the injector clip and plug wire on #4 and it doesnt change the way it runs. In 3 cranks it puts down 165lbs of compression. So the only thing that could be left in an injector. Is there a way to check if an injector is bad. I tested Ohms and their all 2.6. I thought PTE injectors were supposed to be pretty reliable. Any input?

 

...just swap injectors from a known good running cylinder...it wont take long...any cel's?

 

Like ...Lost said. Try the injector on another cylinder

 

Or check voltage to the injector first (alot cleaner then swapping injectors) If you had to wire in new clips its a possibility you may have an open wire. It should read battery voltage.

injector balance test .... if u have the tools donno if u can rent em from anywhere but that is how to test injectors.

 

Make sure it getting voltage. If it does, swap it with the injector next to it to see if the problem moves.

 

use a test light....
