ok, my rad has a hole in it. I saw the civic rads and they are a whole lot smaller. I plan on going turbo a little later on, so it would give me some more room for the turbo. My question is if I get the civic rad what will I need to get it to fit??? Are all civic model rads the same (92-95)??? How would I get the fan to work??? and what hoses would i need??? thx for the help!

 

just get an after market fan at pepboys or autozone and custom a bracket on top to hold the rad in place.... ur stock hose should fit on the rad fine... the 4dr rad is a little thicker than the 2dr... either would be good...

 

ok, good ideas but i've never done anything like this. how would i wire the fan??? and doesn't my car have two fans?

 

if ur gonna use this rad u can't have a/c... the other fan is for the a/c... wiring is easy positive to positive neg to neg... either that or cut the plug on ur oem fan and connect it to the new 1....

Why can't I retain my a/c??? What if i still kept the other fan and just made a bracket to get it to fit without sitting on the new rad?

 

exactally what he said .. i have a 92-95 rad. it wont work with my crossmember or yours. but a guy that i had talked to said to use a neon rad. from a 99 or newer if i remember correctally> but you have to get a fill pulg so you can fill it up since i guess they dont come with em. also use the the fan from the neon i believe they are all the same

Any Neon rad. that DOESNT have a/c works fine.

 

how big is the neon rad??? what year neon should i pull it from??? can I still keep my a/c with the neon rad?

 

The civic rad wont fit, don't bother trying. It sits too high and the hood wont close. Trust me, I've done this.

 

I was told that if I make a bracket to make it angle back like an inch and a half that it would work??? Is this true??? then the hood would close with no problems!
