ok, my buddy and i just installed a MSD 6AL with MSD Cap, Blaster SS coil in his 2000 ITR. Now, after all the install and "TRIPLE" check we tried the 3000 "TEST" pill for the revlimiter. Unfortunately, it doesnt work just rev pass it! So, we tried 8000RPM Pills and still shoot out pass 8000RPM.

Anyone got any input?

huh? what do you mean? you have to ADD wire to it?


we connected all the wire that was in the box:

THICK RED - (+)
THICK BLACK - (-)

red- inside distributor
white-inside distributor

orange - to ex-coil (+)
black - to ex-coil (-)

its on the car right now and the car runs fine, just that the revlimit dont work? fill me in please

 

did you cut the 2 wires on the MSD to put it in 4 cylinder mode???

If not, with the 3000 rpm chip, the MSD would have cut spark at 6000 rpm.

 

what are your mods? If spraying 50 shot or less, 6 psi of boost or less, you'll gain NOTHING.

 

Yes! the ignition on your car is the same as other hondas, including the gsr and type R, so without N2O or boost or higher compression or something more than bolt ons you will not notice a gain in power.
