Default misfire, weird problem actually

ok so heres the deal, i have a misfiring problem. I thought it was due to the secondary o2 being out but now that i'm obd1 and throwing no checks i don't know exactly what the deal is

the thing is, it's not misfiring when i turn it on and stuff it misfires after about 5-10 mins running. now if i step on it or give it enough gas the misfire goes away until i let off the gas again. its been really bothering me trying to figure it out

here is what i have done for troubleshooting

1. got the timing checked(its fine)
2. adjusted the distributor 10000000000 times in every possible position
3. checked throttle cable, sensors

now could my distributor be bad? this could cause the problem.

also my iac is going out or is bad and would this affect the correct firing of the motor while driving?

Help me out guys i am kinda lost on what to do about this problem

thanks in advance

Did you adjust the ignition timing properly? Did you check your fuel pressure? How old are the plugs, are they gapped properly? What condition are the plug wires in?

what do you mean by ignition timing exactly?
i need to check the fuel pressure though (gotta buy the gauge and i just put on fuel rail)
plugs are maybe 2 months old and wires less than that and they are minty fresh

anything else that would cause this problem? need to fix asap and will try the fuel pressure checking

To make a super long story short, check your spark plug cables by using a good set and see if this eliminates the misfires.

I was throwing random misfiring codes all day this early week. Start with the easy things, such as plugs, wires, cap/rotor.

Mine turned out to be bad wires, which fouled my plugs. Could be as simple as this...
