how much of a clearance diff do o/s valves make?

Default how much of a clearance diff do o/s valves make?

k im buying new cams for my motor (skunk2 pro 2 or 3) and just wondering from peoples experience how much adjustability loss they had or clearance issue they had from having o/s valves in their motor. P>V and V>V mainly. mine are .5mm o/s. just curios, im going to degree the motor but just wnna know before hand some info! thank ya

It would help to know what series motor because they are all different. I'm guessing your b series?

With Pro 2's and 3's. valve to valve is pretty tight with stock valves. With OS valves, you are going to have to start dialing out overlap. With most aftermarket pistons, piston to valve is not as big an issue.

85mm gsr block. and gsr head thats been milled .010thou in the past.

well they are arias pistons. 13.5:1 w/7cc dome. this is the first time ive used anything o/s in a setup so i dont know what to expect yet for clearance. but i will find out i guess when i degree everything in.

wont be for a while tho. im saving up for FJO ems. which is about 2000$ for N/A....
