Default Aftermarket steering wheel fitment

Hey

I've got a Momo 13' steering wheel and im trying to fit it to my 91 JDM fourth gen, but i cant seem to find a suitable boss kit to allow it to be fitted. This is mainly due to cruise control and 4ws. Some auto parts shops want around $110 US ($150 New Zealand) when i paid $20 US for the steering wheel! Does any one now if there are any significant differences between the bosskits that are used on the 3rd generation and 5th generation lude's? Im hoping that the things are basicaly the same and that i could get away with using a new version (they are cheaper), providing that i reallocate the cruise control buttons as well. Any help will be appreciated!
Thanx

I have a tenzo steering wheel on my 4th gen, the adapter i bought was a Grant one from schucks. It was less than twenty bucks and i didn't have any fitment problems. Good luck

Thanx for the reply. I figured the price for the boss kit was a bit steep, and im pritty sure that it should be a simple swap as well. Just need to buy the cheapest one i can find and hope it will just bolt right up. Did you have cruise control, thats the only thing that i am jet to find a place for. Not sure if ill be able to mount it on the wheel so i might have to reallocate it to an area on the dash. Thanx

Hey, indeed it is a 91 Honda Prelude 4th generation from Japan. Came with 4WS, cruise control, sunroof, electric mirrors, spotlights and those one piece headlights.
Chassy number is BB1-1001033 and
Engine number is H22A- 1001153
So its one of those first JDM lude's made. They started producing them late in the year 91 and stoped making the 3rd gen early in the year 91. Is a bit tricky with parts though due to everyone thinking the 4th gen is 92-96!

Does anyone know if 4WS is related to the actual steering wheel? I know it would run of the axle's turning momentum but im not sure if the replacement of the factory steering wheel will affect its function.

Yes, there is a sensor behind the steering wheel for the 4WS IIRC. It's not impossible to fit an aftermarket steering wheel, but may require a bit of modification.

So by a bit of modification you mean simply moving it to a position that allows it to function normally. Im assuming that its a mechanical sensor that checks the position of the steering wheel? I got a boss kit that is suppose to take 4WS and cruise control into account so once i fit it ill be able to see if its gona need modification or wheter its a striaght bolt on.
Thanx, thats just what I needed to know.
