Default Bondo the engine bay?

Is bondo good to use inside the negine bay? I plan to fill a lot of the holes with weld and grind them down and use something like bondo to make it smooth.

Whats the best thing to use?

I would say that using body filler after welding and grinding is fine, unless you wanted to use some duraglass or something. Body filler is a bit easier to work with though.

duraglass will probably be your best bet, out of the 2 mentioned here. its fiberglass based which means its waterproof. which you will need after grinding/welding.

some of the other threads i have read on tucking/shaving engine bays mentions "blue icing"?? i think thats what its called

This thread has tons of info on eng bay shaving. The first page has some good reference info, including types of filler for the bay.
