Default Honda Injectors

I own a 1988 Honda Civic Wagon 2 wheel drive 5 door hatchback. I was told by my mechanic that I need the injectors to be replaced since there is a leak a outside one of the injectors. Its not a bad leak, but it keeps leaking. How long can I drive before I have to fix it. Problem is I am in between jobs and my honda is my only mode of transportation. My engine size is 1.5 liters if anyone wants to know

thanks

brett

the leak would either make you run lean (not good), or just dump your gas on the ground, which you would just be wasting your own money.. i would get it fixed as soon as you can to prevent any other damages in the future.

that is.. if your mechanic is telling you the truth about this

So you got dpfi? If so, I'm pretty sure you have primary and secondary injectors. Both injectors can inject fuel to all cylinders. I could be wrong, though. You should really replace the injector. Here how from the magical service manual (I really suggest getting a copy!!)
For MPFI:

For DPFI:
Don't think the manual has one for DPFI. If I find it I'll post it. It shouldn't be too hard to replace though.

a fuel leak not being a "bad" leak? are you smoking crack!? wait, please dont smoke crack next to your fuel leak.

fix it immediately. do not drive this car at all. engines get hot. fuel and an ignition source = FIRE!

Ah the last time i checked mpfi are not interchangable with dpfi. So just go to the local pick-a-part and snag both the primary and secondary injectors from the plentiful dpfi motors and there, for the price of admission you have two good injectors.
