I cant find any information on this. I am wondering which models did the moonroof come on? Si only, or was it also offered on the HF, DX, or base? I tried to join CRXResouce.org but the admin has to manually activate my account before I can look at the brochure section of their site which should allow me to know whether or not the CRX I seen in a tow yard is an Si or not. If it is, I want to buy it!

 

not sure what all it was offered in but my old hf had a sunroof. just look at vin number off car or engine stamp..you should know if its an si. =P

 

Si only... some people "put" them in other models.. but they didnt come from the dealership like that.

if its a moonroof (ie.. glass on the top) its aftermarket.

Alright thanks a lot! Yeah it's a steel panel, not glass. So it must be an Si...the car was sold to somebody in trade for 12 T-shirts that have a business logo on it...So I am equating that to no more than $200 for the car!! It's all in primer, but I don't see any rust at all, but the car no motor or tranny...so if I offered the guy like $400 for the car, is that a good deal on my part? It must be an Si!

Most people think it only came on SI's only, but DX models have a pop-up sunroof which was a factory option at the time, i have an 88 crx dx and i have a pop-up sunroof and i have also seen 4-door civics with the pop-up sunroof which was made by ASC (American Sunroof Corporation). HF never had a sunroof. Hope that helps!

In Canada you could get flip up moon roofs installed at the dealerships on DX and HF models for $299.99. I have one on my 88 DX and have the recipt for the optional install somewhere at my dad's farm in my car paperwork.
