Painting side mouldings. Rubber prep??
92 civic hatch dx.
While looking to prep the side mouldings, I found these pieces to be like a hard rubber. I know some models come with painted ones, and I'm not sure if they're rubber or not. Basically, I have the hard rubber ones and I'm looking for tips on how to properly prep the mouldings for paint. The only thing I can come up with is epoxy primer?

i recently painted some on an ek hatch. they had some deep scratches in them so i had to go all the way done to 120, but i finished sanding them down to 600. 400 would be alright though. just get out all the scratches.
Sand them with 400 and a grey scuff pad if needed, clean them with alcohol then spray adhesive promoter on them then you can prime/seal then paint them
