white smoke question. b16a2
I been researching about this for the past 2 days and i have a question.
My car has been shooting some white smoke lately. My friend tells me
it happens when i shift, also when i start up the car on a cold start it smokes.
I also notice when im on the freeway say at 70mph and if i let go of the gas
and let it coast it will shoot a cloud of white smoke. I bought the car recently
and the compression test was done 6 months ago. showed good also good leak down test. It did overheat yesturday. pretty bad, the thermostat didnt open so i replaced that
and the fan switch. oem honda parts. so i drove it for 50 miles. checked the engine,
coolant level seems fine and the oil doesnt have a milky color to it. So i dont think its
the headgasket, but the ower of the car told me its smoking might need head gasket change. its a b16a2. but no signs of coolant in oil or oil in coolant so not headgasket?
any opinions! thanks!!!

yeah it was doing it before the overheat. then i replaced the thermostat and a fan switch. I guess i gotta drive it for a little more then see if the coolant and oil mix to determine if its a head gasket. btw it has a test pipe and headers so idk if that causes smoking. Its smoking less after the overheat yesturday.
you were on your way to needing a headgasket and your thermo froze up now its time to get a headgasket and waterpump while your at it you might as well replace valve seals and valve cover gasket, timg belt, plugs wires. its worth it.

headgasket test will definetly tell you if you have a headgasket leak. white smoke should mean a headgasket leak so yeah... good luck. if you need any help changing headgasket or anything, hit me up
