maybe ur fuel pump its going bye bye
or maybe ur fuel press regulator its messing up and not giving u enough gas for that high rpm
time for new, cap, rotor and sparks and cables.....
vtec not engaging?? check all conectors on vtec solenoid and sensors....
vtec needs, oil press, temp, ,make sure they are all good....
reset ecu...etc

have new cap, rotor, plugs, wires..
aem fuel regulator, i'm going to put the fuel pressure gauge on when i wake up, see what the pressure is at, (what should it be at? idle)

hmm, fuel pump has 240,000 kilometers on it.. maybe?

reset ecu = disconnect battery, start and let idle?

what if vtec solenoid isn't getting any power at 5200rpm? than what?

thanks!

check the gounds on the oil pressure sensor
and the vtec solenoid... and check continuity to these
connections to the ECU as well
also check your oil level, and your VSS...

good luck!
