popping when revving
My 95 dx is popping when I rev it through the gears. It has a B18 motor, and everytime I accelerate hard, it starts to "pop" or sputter. I'm thinkin it's the air/fuel ratio, any ideas??
well it could be alot of things...poping coming from the exaust? thats a sign of unburnt fuel i.e running rich....sputtering could be alot of things aswell...have you checked your spark plugs? to big of a spark gap will cause sputtering..so will a dirty air filter....check the obvious..than start replacing parts...WORST case scenerio your engines misfiring
the weird thing is that it only does it sometimes. Usually for the first 10-15 minutes, it'll scream through every gear and drive great, but after that amount of time, it'll start ****** up, which is the main reason I think it's fuel related.
dude how do u get those mpg!!!!
i get like 20 max(thats me babying the car and shifting at 2500 rpm.....i have gsr with a p28!!! the p28 is chipped and its messed up bc a resister is burnt...you guys think thats the problem?.....

I had a CX with a d16z6 IM and TB that was not port matched, stainless header, lowered, 15x7 with sticky tires, header back exhaust, and more that I forgot about....I now have a b18b with gsr trans going in
EDIT: my freinds also say I drive slower than a grandma...I really had no choice, it is a CX!?!
