Yeah, So I'll book him in on the next flight? The closest thing to a tool I got around here is a nail file, he'll be bringin his eh? Or are you just tryin' to give me a hard time?

Well do you expect him to pack up an engine/transmission lift and all of his tools and put them in a suitcase? Of course you have to provide him with tools. Most I've ever heard of anyone getting flown out for is tuning.

Dang! I'm sorry. I thought you were messin' with me, I've had a lot of that lately from the local shops around here, maybe cuz I'm a girl I shouldnt know more about my bad transmission than they do. It gets kinda frustrating having over $16k into a car that just sits parked in the driveway. Thank you for the link over to Acurazine though,(awesome site) thats how I learned all about my transmission, and the reasons why I want to go with a manual trans. Most of those guys are all on the East Coast though.
Thanks again,

You could probably find someone in the bay area to do the work and then drive the car there for the work to get done which leaves you the option of flying back in and driving the car back.

TLS has a dead Auto tranny, not covered under warranty. I do get homesick for the Bay Area though.

my CL S is on its 2nd trans and i cant town drive in D5, it has to be in D4 or it will slip and catch and slip and catch.4th works great and 5th works good at higher speeds.

These trannies had a recal, so i dont think it has to be in warranty.

I also had a 6speed CL s, it was fun to drive, but its not something i would buy again. The ratio's are real close, and being a 6cylinder, it doesnt like to hang out in higher revs, so u are ALWAYS shifting. But the manual was WAY faster then my Auto

If i want to shift fast and dive corners, i drive the civic, my Acura is for DD only.
