96 gsr with ls vtec swap questin......
i bought a 96 integra gsr with a ls vtec swap.(b18 block,b16a2 head,b16 tranny.)the motor is all rebuilt and has like 500 miles on it.i raced my buddy with a eg coupe wth a stock gsr swap and he pulled about a length and a half.is it because my motor is not brokin in yet?i just dont know how this happend.if it was because of the motor or if the body weight mattered alot or somethin.any suggestins would help.thanks.
basically i just wanted to see wat it could do right now.and it was from a roll so f*ck you im a good driver.anyways its a stock block and head plus i have stock catback exhaust but have headers so that dont help to much.how long should i wait till its broken in?it has powerstearing and ac.and my buddys doesnt.so i really think its weight thats killin me.

You should have asked this before the motor was driven, i would suggest searching to find the right answer. Why did you butcher your gsr? You probably just dont have it tuned right would be my guess. Do you know your origional GSR block is a "stronger" block than the LS. Also that there is little difference between your head and the GSR. Also that about the only thing you acomplished was changing the transmision. And without a tune your will be worse off than your stock set up.

No....What you are going to want to do is take your paper work of what is supposed to be in the engine according to the guy you bought it from. Search this site and others as to what is the ideal LS VTEC set up and then look and see what is actually on your car. Then you are going to want to replace any parts that your reasearch has led you to believe that your car would be better performing for what you want to do with it. Then you are going to want to get it tuned by someone who knows what they are doing. Maybe it would be faster with a gsr head but maybe not, there are alot of other variables.
oooo.. my friend had a crx and pretty much butchered his b16 motor. he had 450 miles on it and ran a mustang. now its slower.. so yeah.. becareful
