Any 6'+ CRX Si owners lower the driver seat?

I searched.
I'm 6'1" and my head brushes the headliner with the ideal seat adjustment. Just curious if anyone else has taken action. Modify seat? Inexpensive racing seat?

I've had my driver seat out for a rebuild and they are as low as you can get them without some major modding. I am 6'2" and have a 88 Si with sunroof. I don't have this issue, but i can see how some might. An aftermarket fixed back seat could help but provides a whole host of other potential problems. One option would be to cut out the "welded in nuts" and clearance a spot to drop the rails down....

Im 6'2" and i dont have a problem, try reclining the seat a notch or two

I am 6'4" and have SI seats in my 90 STD, I know what you mean. If the roads get curvy I bring the seat up a few nothes, otherwise I have it reclined in a comfortable position. But my shoulders never touch the upper part of the seat. I have never hit my head or anything. My torso is even with my leg length...
I would love if there was a way to lower it about 2" though.

Reclining the back does band-aid the problem, but when I do that I find that my arms are too short. So, to band-aid that, I've got to move the seat forward a bit. Then my legs are too long...
This is why the CRX remains garage queen and the Civic gets the most use.

This is what I had in mind...I just need to find a reasonable shape 90-91 seat to do it to. My car is too mint to start cutting up.

<<<< 6'5.5" tall,300+lbs...I fit "cozy".
Though my kids get a laugh every time I get out of the car .
Then again I don't have a sunroof either

have you tried removing the seat and sitting in the back like on police academy?
I'm 6'1 with long legs and monkey arms as my wife puts it. I have a 88si and I dont have any issues. I've got one click left to go back and I've got the seat leaned back one click as well.

88 CRX SI. im 6' 1". i used to hit my head if i sat upright in the correct position. i got a f1spec bucket seat (cheap, $200) and mounted it on the stock rails. i no longer hit my head. i love it.

How much did this lower the seating position?
The side bolsters are much better on them anyway.
