KYB's are terrible shocks to begin with. Koni yellows or nothing at all.

The KYB GR2s are meant to be OEM replacement dampers but just a tiny bit more firm. Aside from not being meant to be used with shorter and/or stiffer springs than stock, they're known to have a short lifespan, which is only made shorter with lowering springs (due to the lowering and the stiffness).

In other words, stay away from them and they are complete crap from a performance standpoint.

I dont want to make another useless thread, I have Tein S-tech's i need new struts cuz my old h&r race pwned them. What is a good strut to replace my old broken gr2's with? Koni yellows are too much cash for just a daily driver that doesnt need performance just comfort.

either pick up set of illumninas or at the least agx's....if your really looking for a cheaper shock than the agx's then skunk2's shocks will be the last resort.

From what I've heard, the Tokico HP/Blues are about on par with GR2s but just a little bit better, and they're not known to blow all the time like the GR2s. They're better, but if you can remotely afford AGXs or Illuminas, really go for one of them.
