none of these bars make a noticeable difference.

word, you could probably get a roll bar w/ a real harness bar welded in for about the same price as these bolt-in bars, and the car's chassis will end up much more rigid, and of course you'll have the usefulness and safety of having a proper harness bar if you ever need it.

why does everyone always suggest this.

first of all, roll bars arent safe on the streets. and if he wanted a roll bar, he'd have to go the whole nine yards n get eveyrthing, seats, harness, pads, roll bar, etc. and that is most likley out of his budget range.

to the OP. non of those bars make a substancial difference. any difference you notice is prolly a placebo effect. their all about the same as far as effectiveness.

And why would a roll bar not be safe on the street? I can see a full cage wouldn't be safe unless it were fully padded, with fixed seats, harnesses, etc. But if it's just a bar behind the front seats that's not in close proximity with your head, how would it not be safe? It would certainly keep the roof from crushing in on your head if the car rolls over.

What sort of results do you expect to see out of a roll cage on the street? It doesn't sound like you need any sort of bars, let alone a roll cage. Save those dollars, there are plenty of better mods to spend your money on.
