Default 99 v6 accord wiring short-Please Help!

I have a 99 v6 accord coupe that has a short in the wiring. when I pull the 40A
back up-ACC fuse from the underhood fusebox the draw stops. the draw on the battery also stops when I pull the green connector "B" from the passenger side interior fuse box. I then tested the individual wires on that connector and came up two wires that were putting out 12 volts (while the negative battery cable was off).

the two wires were a fat yellow and a light green/blue stripe. does anyone know where these wires go to or if they are supposed to be hot wires. Also what circuits are connected to that fuse. and what is controlled by the green connector B on the passengerside fuse box? Anyhelp would be greatly appreciated.

the wires are going into the fuse box right above all of the fuses via the green connector.

Okay, I've yet to find the green/blue wire yet but from the diagrams I'm looking at, the yellow wire should only be hot when the key is on/starting and whatnot. It runs from the driver's side underdash fusebox to the pass. side fusebox. If you didn't know, it's the ignition input wire. The fuse for that wire on the driver's side is fuse #9, and it's a 7.5 amp. I'm going to bed now, if no one has helped you by tomorrow, I'll scan around the diagrams some more. Sorry I couldn't be any more help than that.

bad ignition switch? could that be allowing the pull? i would check the adjustment on that real quick. (can you turn the radio on with the keys in the ignition, but not turning the key at all.)

try everything in the car and if you find the culprit rewire it instead of tearing everything apart looking for a break or corrosion.

I tried the radio suggestion, but it didn't turn on. I set up the multimeter and checked the draw it was at 0.62 with the meter set on 10A. I started pulling the fuses from the passengerside fuse box and the draw dropped down to .12 when I removed the interior light/courtesy light fuse. I removed the interior light assembly (next to rear view mirror) and found the wires to the lights had been cut and respliced together. After I unplugged the connector and put the fuse back in. The draw is now at .12. I then checked to see if the negative battery was still hot and it is as well as the motor and chasis. What is the normal draw on the battery supposed to be? Also my power door locks are not working. when I hit the door lock switch I here a clicking coming from the passengerside fuse box- I'm not sure if this the sound of the relay or is that a short? Please help-Thanks

I still have no clue as to what could be the problem. If we wouldn't have fixed the short in my wiring, we were just gonna take it to the dealership. Finding a short in a car is a pain in the butt and IMO it's worth paying to get it fixed.

Normal parasitic draw on a battery should be around 20 to 30 milli amps or around .02 - .03 on your multimeter. A quick question. In your first post you said you were pulling 12 volts at a connector with the negative of the battery? I'm not sure that should be possible.

I also found what looks to be the yellow wire coming from the underhood fuse box. I show that is powers circuits 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13 on the passenger side underdash fuse box. and that should be the only wire coming off that 40 amp fuse.

Was the fuse you pulled in the car # 11 and a 7.5 amp?

I am starting to wonder if a previous owner wired a dvd player or something up there.

my mistake the negative was not off of the battery. Yes the fuse I removed was number 11, 7.5.
