JDM power folding mirror not working anymore!
hey guys well i have 2 questions for anyone who has jdm power folding mirrors in their 4th gen
well first off is i got them installed correctly they all worked from the start. now
question 1 my passenger side mirror does not open when it is folded in and the car is stopped i have to push that mirror open and then it will start to work close/open anyone know what could be the problem. again it only doesnt work when i fold it in and turn off car.
question 2: my driver side mirror which was working perfectly has stopped working. I hear the motor i believe trying to make them fold, so im guessing this cant be a wiring issue? so it has to be the motor right? it just stopped working!
TIA TFYT

My driver's side has started doing that recently... It'll work fine if I close them when I turn off the car and open them when I turn the car on..
Only time it'll do it is if I turn the car off and leave them open; then when I come back crank it, drive away, and go to park and fold them it, it'll act up and won't close, just sit there and make noise.. Sometimes it'll even close in, but continue making noise.. :/ They're werid.. Heh

I've had my mirrors installed for a year, and the drivers side just started about a month ago maybe.
As I said, I can make it work properly... And sometimes it won't act up, sometimes it does..
I'm thinkin' about wiring them up to my Radio, into the Power Antenna Lead, so they'll found in and out when I turn the car on and off.

Maybe...
I started doing them a long time ago, and I figured I go ahead and finish it since I had done so much work on them..
But they actually are very nice when I park in my garage... It's got a lot of stuff in it, most mine
, and three garage cans on the side, so it helps that I don't crack my mirror against them every time..

No offense but wy are tey "really nice to have to have?" To me it's just another not needed moving part to have to worry about fixing.
Good luck fixing them.

lol, Yea.. I dunno, maybe they're just getting old.. Maybe got an abused set, I don't know..
But I think they'd work fine if I hooked them up to the alarm or stereo though. We'll see when I get to do that..
They are nice when you park in a parking space that allows no room for people to open their doors.. And/or walk between the car..
