Intakes...
Ebay has a lot of intakes on it for about 25 shipped. But one of those and slap on a K&N Intake filter. I didn't know AEM had universal intakes, where did you get it from?
well i dont really wanna order just a pipe... would that be the same as just bolting a K&N on to my stock intake hose thing...? I got it at Advance Auto Parts in Oklahoma... Go to http://www.Advanceautoparts.com

haha, he wasn't being an idiot. He told you the truth. maybe he should have worded it differently though.
Just go out and buy a CAI that is vehicle specific to the 96 Accord 4cyl. AEM & Injen are just a couple that do make vehicle specific CAI intakes for the 94-97 Accord 4cyl. Go to the Accord FAQ, scroll all the way to the bottom and you'll see some websites, look through those and you'll find some vehicle specific CAI's for your car.
You could do as mentioned above... getting an intake kit from eBay and then just putting a good filter on it. It's better than just putting a filter on the end of your rubber pipe because the CAI kits will route the pipe around the battery and locate the filter into the space behind the bumper.
Stay away from those universal intake kits, those work best on Civic's and Integra's. It probably wasn't an AEM either, they dont make universal intakes as far as I know. You may have bought an APC or something.
Also, dont be so quick to lash out at people. It's a good way to not get good responses.

I have a 96 accord ex and i have a AEM V2 Air intake system, yes it was alittle pricey compared to the regular CAI, I myseelf was very hesitant to pay more and had a feeling that i would regret it, but boy did i make a good decision my buddy has the same 96 accord ex with a regular AEM CAI, and my car has a nice mature deep sound about twice as loud as his, which is not very important to me, but I do like that I have more power, yes I beat him all the time, he is highly considring selling the regular CAI, after he gave $220 for it to get a V2

lol.. disconnect your battery, secure it in your trunk (i welded the battery tray to the car's body) get a thick wire to hook up to your previous connection (i used a thick jumper cable, like $10) ground the battery in the trunk and ground in your engine bay. hope that made sense somewhat.
