ok i just got a 89 si crx and i need a engine wiring i was wondering if the wiring from a 90-91 would work and i have a 90-91 gauge cluster and i was wondering if the dash harness from a 90-91 would plug in to my 89 harness and work.

Engine wiring harness will work, the dash harness wont.

 

what will i have to do to get the dash harness to work

You will have to get a dash harness from an 89, the 90-91 is way different and will not plug in w/o extensive rewiring that is not even close to worth it. just get a 88-89 harness and plug it right in

 

well i have a 90 cluster
can i repin the cluster plugs to make the 90 cluster work in a 89 crx si

Yes but you need the cluster hood from a 90-91 not to mention the hazard switch and dimmer switch, did I mention you will have to wire them up as well as figure out the difference between the 88-89 dimmer vs. the 90-91 dimmer, basically it takes a bit more than just repining your existing cluster plugs. I did mine this way, but it's alot of work and I only did it so I could run a 99-00 Si cluster in my 89.


edit: just looked at your myspace page....you HAVE an 89 Si cluster for sale??? why not just throw that in there???

that is not my cluster it is my friend myspace plus i have a 90 dash with every thing i just need to know how to wire up the plugs, dimmer and just help i like the 90-91 hood and i have all the parts

if any one has a complete 90-91 crx si harness front to back all
