Default EM1 AEM V2 CAI front tranny bracket weak?

For those of you w/ EM1's or B16A2's swapped into EK's running the AEM V2 intake, have you had any issues w/ the front tranny bracket that's included w/ the kit? Any cracking or breaking? That folded sheet metal piece looks a lot weaker compared to the thick cast iron stocker.

I would guess that drag racers who do a lotta burnouts would put the most strain on that mount. I plan on bringing my car to open track events, so I'm wondering if this replacement mount can hold up to the abuse.

It will not hold up to the abuse. And do not abuse b16a2.

Okay, so that bracket is weak.

What's wrong w/ the B16A2? It can't handle open track events? My motor is mostly stock.

god stop talking you give the worst info ever. its a stock b16 if you have the lower mounts on there it'll be fine. you're not gonna "blow it up" either unless you really beat the **** outta it.

The V2 on my S2000 had the same problem. The rubber mount broke when i was installing. So i just took the 2 studs out (peeled them out), and drilled a hole thru the rubber peice. I put in a long 10 mm bolt from the stock intake. VIOLA problem solved. Will never break again.
