JRSC, believe it will fit any sohc dseries motor. i am the second owner so and i believe the first owner only had it for no more than 5 months. Pulls pretty strong at bottom end. haded in my car for a week and ran low 15s at the track base on a 2.49 60ft. fast enough to beat GSR but don't know about Type-R.
