never really heard of that brand and if it was me, I would not wanna spend money on an ebay clutch..

Basically I would go for a better brand such as ClutchMasters or Competition..
Why not spend the extra few $ to get something that will last you longer and most likely out perform your ebay brand, and if it does fail, why you wanna spend another couple hundred and the time it takes to pull your tranny out and install a clutch..

Think about it, do it right the first time, why do you wanna put cheap parts on your car?

Do NOT deal with Grip Force. I had a legit warranty claim and they completely ignored me. I am planning on doing a write up about it soon.

I was going to order an exedy OEM replacement with lightened flywheel. Instead of ordering through Ebay, I called gripforce's posted number. It took 4 calls during their business hours before someone answered....i guarantee it was a cell number because the guy had no clue what I was talking about until I mentioned Ebay.

Basically the guy gave me a bad feeling. There's no way I'll ever deal with a company who gives me a bad feeling.

I didn't order through ebay either, they answered on the first call and got it to FL in 3 days from CA

maybe I just got lucky, if you use a credit card your pretty safe because the cc company doesn't want you to get scammed so they have your back

i ordered an exedy state 1 from gripforce along with their "house brand" F1 racing lightweight flywheel.

both have held up to 18k miles of hard abuse (on track and street) and are still holding strong. I got the whole setup for really cheap trhough them

I have that same kit....I live it, raced my car basically every weekend this year. i launch the car almost every day. ( I have got a B18C with CTR cam, p30 pistons, hondata S300 and few other goodies.) every time i race i use slicks . And so far to this day the clutch hasnt slipped, howled anything and i drive the car daily. in traffic there is very chatter when moving off.

That may not be a clutch issue, as much as it may be a flywheel issue, from what i have read in my honda-studies

It's not like clutches like these don't work, the problem is when you deal with companies like Grip Force, whether they're on Ebay or not. When these clutches DON'T work and you need warranty support or even technical support most of the time you won't get any. That was my problem. I have used a clutch like this before successfully and one unsuccessfully. The issue in my case was that I had proof that my pressure plate was faulty and they chose to ignore my findings and tell me they wouldn't honor my warranty claim because "my flywheel/clutch assembly was obviously contaminated with oil/grease". Their claim was based on pictures of the clutch that I had sent them, without any physical examination of the clutch in person which is what I wanted them to do to prove they were wrong. I had my machine shop check the finger spring pressure on my pressure plate and it turned out to have about half the pressure of a stock plate. I was using a kevlar disc at the time which requires about double the pressure of a stock plate to work properly. My new clutch slipped like crazy and had poor pedal pressure. I had just installed a brand new crate engine from Acura so oil leaks or contamination simply weren't there. When I took the clutch out and installed a new Clutchmasters clutch it worked perfectly but again they ignored the facts.

Grip Force is a typical low end company. They'll send you cheap parts for cheap and as long as you don't get a faulty product, you'll feel like the "winner" because you saved a few bucks. Get a faulty part or have a problem and you'll quickly realize why you'll never want to deal with companies like this again.
