well, there really isn't any tech relation in this question, but i'll try to help you out with your dilemma.
IMO, leave your seats alone. oem seats are perfectly fine and they do their job well. if you have money for "real" mugen harness, i would recommend you spend it on actual performance parts and not so much cosmetic ones.
remember, i'm just stating my opinion.

Yes there are some good oem options for seats such as EP3, RSX or S2000 but stock civic seats are not comfortable and do not hold you in. I personally would think red seats would clash with the red paint of your car because they are not the exact same red. If your interior is black then I suggest some black seats and red harnesses. Otherwise look into other colors you like. Maybe blue, grey or.......
I think black would look better. Im getting black seats for my silver ej6. OEM seats have no bolstering at all, other then that I would keep them. But I slide around a lot when im turning.

damn, either you guys do some serious auto x or you guys don't weigh much.
i'm 193lbs, and i'm pretty solid and stable in my oem seats.

If you're actually racing your car you wouldn't be so concerned with the color as the safety of the belt.
No one's going to be looking at your belt if you're passing them.
Or let me guess, this is for a street car-wanna-be-track-car.

If I have a choice when I buy the damn thing, Ill pick the color I want... Just because its a track car doesnt mean it cant look halfway decent.
-I weigh 165lbs. Its a proven fact that your body needs to be firmly in place or you waste energy that should be used for steering.

And you're worried about wasting steering time getting groceries?
If it's not a track car, your money would be better spent on lessons at a performance driving school on a roadcourse.
