No, it won't work.

The 94-97 accords with the 4cy have a shorter front end than the V-6 version. Not only they can't swap engines, but the panels on the front end can't interchange either.

That about sums it up. Plus the v6 engine for that year was weak anyways and has almost no aftermarket support.

The H22A1 came in the 92-96 Prelude VTEC. The H22A4 came in the 97-01 Preludes. The H22A came in the JDM 5th gen SiR Accords. It is a 2.2L DOHC VTEC.

the F22A1, F22A4 and F22A6 motors came in the 90-93 Accords (varyious trims). They were all 2.2L SOHC non-VTEC.

The F22B1 came in the 94-97 Accord EX. It is a 2.2L SOHC VTEC.

The F22B2 came in the 94-97 Accord LX, DX. It is a 2.2L SOHC non-VTEC.

For my info on these and other engines, check the Accord FAQ. There is a link to engine specs in there.

It would be very wise to get a H22, it outperforms the 2.7Liter V-6 in every way possible, and it would be a much much easier project. And again it's faster, alot faster.

ur best bet, if u wanna save money, would b 2 put an F22 in it. only because then u shouldn't need 2 get new axles and whatnot, unlike an H22.

plus the F22 can handle alot of boost, cuz of it's low compression ratio

He already has a F22 in his car. The problem is that, a lot of people will do bolt-ons to an engine expecting to see *** whooping results. You can only produce so much out of an engine by lowering restriction and allowing more air and fuel. The REAL power lies inside the engine itself, or with forced air induction (turbo, surpercharger).

reffering to gaininline's post. What is the difference between a supercharger and a turbo? which one is cheaper and which one is better for your engin, because i heard from numerous people the turbos wear down the engin faster. also which one is easier to put on?
