Dimming lights when braking
Happens only on occasion when I have my stereo and a/c on. I'll apply the brakes and the headlights with dim a tiny bit, enough for me to notice but not enough to the point where they are dying. If I do it with ceiling light (i cant remember the correct name for it) on, it dims aswell. Would putting a capacitor in my system prevent this or is my battery or alternator failing?
How many amps are you running in your stereo system? All the capacitor does is store a little bit of charge in it and if needed gives it a "boost".
If you are running serious amps like at least 2 with high voltage, they you are drawing quite a bit of amperage. You may want to add a second battery to the system like a Stinger SP800.
If you need one let me know, we are dealers for Stinger.
