Default will this cluster work??

ok i have a 91 dx hatch, i want to put this cluster in my car...will it work? like plug and play?

No, the 88-89 are slightly different than the 90-91...
Check the top edge of the cluster...The 88-89 model is comopletely flat, and the 90-91 model has a slight roll or rounded look. yes it will plug in and work but it will not sit inside the guage pod correctly...Just FYI I would look for 90-91 only...

88-89 dash clusters work with each other
90-91 dash clusters work with each other.

only way to put a 89 into a 91 is with changing some wiring around, change cluster cover and also mounting hardware of the cluster.

Sell the one you bought and get one from a 90-91.

Even if the cluster is from the same year it may not work. There were 2 manufacturers for the clusters and they may have either 2 or 3 plugs on the back of the cluster. Try to find one from the same year and manufacturer will be your best bet. The clusters are not all plug and play, I learned this the hard way and had a few spares because of different wiring.
