H22 Transmission Issues
We just installed an OBX LSD in my M2B4 tranny, and when we went to put the casing back on, it would not close completely. There is about a 1/2" gap, and for some reason it will not seat completely. The shift linkage is not in the way and the snap rings are on the countershaft and mainshaft. Is this a usual problem with reassembling the H22 tranny or are we doing something very wrong?

Sounds like its not installed correctly. Check the shims and alignment of everything. Also check all the bolts on the obx diff.
Edie: just my 2 cents I would run a stock open diff before I put a OBX in my trans. Good luck

I may be wrong but I've read that after market LSDs won't fit in the M2B4 that already has a factory LSD...because the casing is different. If that's not a fact, someone please correct me.

Correct-o mundo vato.
The m2b4 case is about 1/2" more narrow than the other cases. That sucks. What happened to the factory lsd?

For this guy's sake, I was hoping to be wrong. LOL! Yikes...hopefully he can find the stock unit for his JDM tranny or an m2f4 for his after market LSD.
For a JDM tranny, I'd personally look into a t2w4 or the one mated to the F20b motor since they seem to be after market friendly.

LOL, sorry but there was no factory LSD. I thought the M2B4s have non-LSD but maybe mine is an M2A4, not sure. All I know, is the damn casing is being a bitch.
