i have an automatic pr4 ecu that i need to be converted to manual. ive searched for the past three hours on H-T and PGMFI came up with stuff for p28 and non-obd pr4 and some other stuff.. i know the obd1 p28 says to remove rp17 and rp18 and replace rp18 with a jumper. some are saying the obd1 ecu's are the same. the thing with mine is there is no resister in rp17 and rp18 has a resistor that has a single black strip on it. i ohm'd it out and came up with .3 ohms. that's basically a jumper. but i still get the automatic code though. i'm stumped... if anyone could help me out i would greatly appreciate it. the car its going to into is 92 teggy.

are you getting CEL19?
with the jumpers like that it should not be setting the auto trans solinoid CEL.

have you chipped the ECU and tried it that way?
