How often are you guys changing your oil?
Im using amsoil full synthetic how often are you guys changing your oil using full synthetic, im running a 5th gen greddy turbo'd.
Most synthetics can easily go to 10k without any problems. However, since you have a turbo I'd stick to the factory spec of 7,500mi.

Yeah, I noticed in the manual the recommendation of every 7500 miles under "normal conditions," which means very little stop and go driving and few short trips. 3-5k is probably fine for most people.
I'm sure it's far more important to keep the level correct than to keep new oil in it.

If youre really interested in how long your oil can last between changes, get your oil analyzed by Blackstone. I use Mobil 1 Synthetic and a K&N oil filter, and my oil was still fine at my last oil change interval of 8,000 mi. Ill probably go for around 10,000 mi until my next oil change.

changing your oil at 3k is doing nothing better for your engine than changing it at 5k, as long as you aren't using crap filters.
Spending $40 an oil change isn't cheap people.

Do you even know what that means? Ugh people are their stupid assumptions.
Check your oil after 1000 miles, it will just as "black" as after 5000 miles.

The All-Know-It-All Matt steps in, Listen guy .. Most people don't even think about driving 7000 miles before changing their oil. I change mine around every 3000 miles and so do most people on this forum. oil gets black near 1000 miles, but not as black as 3000 miles. Sure color doesn't mean much when it comes to oil, but its viscosity does. Driving on the same oil for 7000 miles, the oil would fell more like Black liquid water than like oil. I don't think that's necesarilly safe for the motor do you ?
BTW, I heard you can't sell your car, after something like 3000 views and about 3 months of it being online, Pathetic. Quit being an e-Nerd and an e-*** and actually help some people on this forum.

I just did and you decided to step and and spit some bullshit story about the color of oil and some other bs about viscosity. If you want to correct me, go read.

You call me a know-it-all yet you're calling honda engineers idiots for giving a 7500 mile service interval. The word hypocrite come to mind?
You can change your oil at 3k miles if it makes you feel better, but know, that you are wasting your money and time. Next time, take a sample, and send it to a lab for analysis.
Personal stabs at my car sale. Mature. It seems everyone on h-t wants it, based on some ***umed number of $$ they're getting for their totaled car, gets the insurance call and realizes they can't afford it. After 3 of those and a bunch of local people that didn't read my craigslist ad correctly, I gave up on trying to sell it.
The market for a black car with a black leather interior with no ac is small enough. Add to that no power steering, all the other stuff I've done, and you have a tiny market. I'm happy I didn't sell it now anyways. So thanks

"Synthetic oils have a higher viscosity index than mineral base oils. Synthetics have better resistance to thinning at high temperatures and thickening at low temperatures. Since synthetics have little or no VIIs, synthetics last longer in service without radical changes in viscosity. "

So far this thread has two people that actually know what they are talking about. mgags7 and vinuneuro. They have posted facts, and pointed us to the right source of information.
I myself run AmsOil with a by-pass oil filter system, and I generally change my oil about once a year, usually in the fall before the colder season. I have to add a quart fairly often (About 1500-2000 miles) based on my time in VTEC. If I drive it nice I can go about double that without adding a quart. I put on about 15-20k miles per year. I too have had my oil analyzed after about 10k, and the test has come back good after that many miles.
People who change their oil every 3k miles are suckers for the auto and oil industries having been in bed together for years.

I spend roughly $30 for synthetic oil + Mobil1 filter, every 3-4k miles cuz I'm a balla like that!
