Default biggest tire size?

ive got a stock 97 lx rim, 195x65r15 and 185x65xr15 in rear. im not really sure why there are two diff. sizes. Anyway, i was thinkin i could fit 205x55x15. would that work? could i go bigger? they just look so damn small im also thinkin about wheel spacers, think those would work. 5mm

you can fit 205 55 15 all around and it should be good but im not sure 215 would work but yeah 5mm would have it come out some but not much

thank god. i hate those little geo metro tires on my accord wouldnt the 205 60 be taller(not "more" lower profile) and wouldnt that throw off thespeedo if the tire was taller? i think ill just stick with the 205/55, thanks a lot guys

try this site
http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalcold.html

it will show the effect on the car's speedo with bigger and smaller tires than the stock ones

well a 205/55 is 2.4% too fast, meaning when im doing 58.6 my speedo is saying 60. i guess thats not all too bad.

if you dont mind the speedo difference. You can fit a 205/55/15.

an LX wheel is 15x5.5
you can fit a 205/55/15 on a 5.5 inch wide wheel but its pushing it. I wouldn't recommend going anything larger in tire width with the stock wheels.

205/60 does really throw it much off either, im lowered on it, with about a 1 finger gap all around, why get the lower profile tires on on oem wheels, itll make you look like more of a monster truck, but the diff b/t 55 and 60 isnt really that noticeable imo

i do 205/55.
probably the best compromise for least side wall and decent comfort in 205.
205/60 will work and so will 205/50.
