ECU codes
ecu throwing codes 6 and 41. which should be six short blinks w/ a pause and then four long blinks and one short blink to represent the codes 6 and 41. Has anyone ever replaced there coolant temperature sensor? #41 is the oxygen sensor heater...... After i drive the honda for awhile and shut if off it's somtimes hard to start when it's still hot...... I think it most likey has to do w/ the coolant sensor b/c it has to do w/ the "entire fuel injection system"..chiltons manual...... as far as the oxygen sensor heater goes i should just be able to replace the whole oxygen sensor and be done w/ it. rite? thanks, dustin
Ahhh yes, the old #6. Having the same issue with my EM1 right now. Replaced all 3 of the sensors (because my temp gauge was acting weird) and the error code is still there. I'm guessing it's a wiring issue now because it's done it with 3 different ECUs now.
As ar as your o2 code goes, just replace the sensor with a generic one from Checkers. Cheaper than OEM and works just as good. Did this in my 94 EX. Although I ended up breaking the stupid sensor off in the manifold which forced me to go out and buy that header I've wanted an excuse to get for a while.

i have a bosch in my b16 civic, never had a problem, going on 15000 miles.
and if you cut the wiring on the o2 sensor and use it's harness, yoiu shouldn't have a problem with the universal one as well. counting that it's wired right.

never used bosch.....just read multiple threads about them not working and "respectible posters" mentioning too not buy bosch but go with denso
to the OP......just giving my 2 cents from reading on here a few hours a day everyday.......but if its been ok with the previous posters especially at "50k plus miles" then i wouldn't count out bosch
bump for those that don't like bosch 02 senors(and to prove i'm not imagining posts) and to give the OP more opinions

got new coolant sensor, but have not put it in yet. I was going to buy a O2 sensor but the bosch ones are $70 at auto zone...... where can i buy the other brand you mentioned? Does NGK make O2 sensors? Im going to replace the coolant sensor today and reset the ecu and see what happens i'll keep you posted............ thanks
It was the coolant sensor. Don't can't figure out how that sensor effects the fuel injection system though but it did....... thanks..... Oh ya don't need the O2 sensor
